What to Expect

Hua Hin- features a beautiful, powdery sand Beach, numerous seaside Seafood restaurants, a lively night market, numerous Beach activities, and some great inland activities, not least of which is golfing at some of Thailand's most renowned courses. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Springfield Royal Country Club- The traditional Jack Nicklaus designed, located off the Hua Hin bypass road is one of the best Hua Hin golf courses, and as good as they come. The course at Springfield has been designed to meet the high demands of a recognized championship golf course, and yet it remains an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all standards. Each hole has a minimum of five tees to play from, but only the brave, and those regularly rub shoulders with the world's best will venture from the black tee. Water hazards periodically come into play, and each hole presents its challenge and character requiring finesse or unrestraint. Accuracy is needed at all times as the rough comprises of a series of hillocks and holes lined by a forest of mature trees. Nicklaus designs love to catch the player out who hits a poor weak fade, and the back nine when tiredness begins to creep in can punish with either a massive waste bunker or water down the right-hand side of the fairways. On the other hand, keep it straight, and this course will reward as it is not exceptionally long. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Lake View Resort & Golf Club- Offers 36 holes of golf in Hua Hin. The golf course is a favorite with both residents and visitors to the area and is situated a bit inland amongst small farms & fruit orchids on a large parkland parcel. For many golfers, this is the most scenic and pleasant golf course in Hua Hin. The Lake View original 18 hole A-B Course features small streams and a large lake dividing the course in two. Together with mature trees, blind shots to some greens, undulating fairways, and several doglegs, tests the skills of the low handicapper. The long par 3, 14th hole is particularly tricky and features a tee box on a small island and the green at another island 210 yards away - all surrounded by water. Some natural par holes make the course a balanced test of golf also for higher handicappers.
