Better Surf Thailand - a surf school founded by Mr. Chatchai Somporn, who is a former surf athlete in the Thai National League and has more than 15 years of experience in surfing. Teaching lessons at Better Surf follow the international standard guaranteed by ISA (International Surfing Association), which ensures its standard and safety as well as a memorable experience. Surf season Khaolak is suitable for surfing from April to November (“Khaolak’s surf season”), where the best times are usually in May/June and October/November. Suitable waves for beginners Memories beach area features beach break with smaller sizes of waves, which is gentle for beginners, compared to reef breaks that could cause more accidents and injuries. And for more experienced surfers, there are hidden point break spots with longer length of waves. The warm sea temperature all year round allows surfers to be in the water without having to put on heavy wetsuits. “THE” Surfboard factory In Khaolak, it is where Sunova Surfboard Factory is situated. Sunova branded surfboards are globally recognized and sold worldwide. Tourists are welcomed to visit the site and observe surfboards manufacturing process. At this place, tourists can also shop for surf and beach outfits at the world’s only RipCurl Outlet located within the surf factory. 200-Rais of variety With 200-Rais in its size, there are activities at Memories Beach for everyone. Apart from surfing and other beach activities, there are other tourist activities such as Elephant Home Sanctuary, where tourists can enjoy a fun time in nature with elephants; and Adventure ATV for those with adventurous spirits and would like to explore the jungle.
